F.A.Q.

Q: What do I wear?
A: Come in comfortable stretchy clothes. Dance pants or tights with a singlet or t-shirt is ideal. You don’t have to bare your midriff, although you are welcome to do so. Wearing a scarf around the hips helps you to feel the movement; however, it is not essential. Most people dance barefoot or wear jazz shoes.
Q: What if I’m pregnant?
A: If you are pregnant, bellydancing can be a great form of exercise to keep fit, build muscle strength, and prepare for birthing your baby. Please advise your teacher ahead of class to discuss special guidelines and always consult your GP before participating in a new form of exercise during pregnancy.
Q: What if I have an injury or pre-existing medical condition?
A: Please consult with your teacher before attending any QBA classes to discuss how to best manage your needs.
Q: How do I book in for classes?
A: Please confirm with your teacher that there are places available (see contact details on the location that you are interested in) and follow her instructions for payment. Also, please complete an online enrolment form, which you can find on the ‘Contact’ page.
