The Sahara Dance Company, the professional troupe for Queensland Bellydance Academy has just returned from a whirlwind trip to Sydney! SDC performed ‘Shaabi Evolution’, an original choreography by Nerissa at ‘Bellydance Evolution’ in Sydney. It was an honour to share the stage at Sydney’s packed Riverside Theatre with belly dance royalty Jillina, and Australia’s very own Jrisi! Congratulations also to Aussie dancers Johara, Rachel, Alice Knox, Phynia, Jennifer Hughes, Tahira, Michelle and Natalie Harvey for their roles in the production. SDC dancers Amy and Vanessa performed a stunning duo at the Bellydance Evolution ‘Red Carpet Night’ which was a fun filled and fantastic event! The Sahara Dance Company also took part in the great workshops on offer to further their professional training and knowledge of the art form we all love – belly dance!
