Sofie

Sofie is one of Brisbane’s up and coming Middle Eastern dancers, with a passion for oriental dance. Sofie discovered her love for bellydance in a small country town over a decade ago and hasn’t looked back.  For the last five years she has been under the tutelage of internationally renowned Middle Eastern dancer, Nerissa. Since joining the Sahara Dance Company, Sofie has also trained with nationally and internationally recognised teachers, which has given her an appetite for learning diverse styles.  Sofie’s fun and romantic style is inspired by the vintage era of bellydance, for which she has a particular love. A regular at Brisbane’s top restaurants, festivals and private functions, her charismatic charm makes her a highly sought after dancer.
